5th Edition
Date : 16th Dec – 18th Jan
Venue : Bombay Art Society, Bandra (W), Mumbai.
The 4th edition of Splash interested many first time gallery visitors. With our initiative to promote #KalaaHarJagah, we curated our 5th edition meticulously on the lines of taking art to the common people. With a vision to integrate arts into the lives of people, we planned various activities for the visitors too.
For the 5th edition, We introduced a new role of a curator in the process of mentoring artists for getting the display and selection of artworks right. Nitin Ware, the mentor for the show helped all the 36 artists online, to plan their display. Artists working with various art styles in different mediums came together.
Mr. Nishikant Palande and Mr. Vikrant Shitole, prominent artists, inaugurated the art exhibition. Every participating artist interacted with our chief guests and got valuable comments on their works. Around 300+ artworks were on display at an affordable price range.
The second day i.e.. 17th December, we had activities for the common audience and artists both. “MEET AND MAKE” an activity loved by many started with artists bringing various objects from their home and it was left for the visitors to try their hands on. At the end of the activity, an interesting art installation was made as an result. We also had an activity where one of our participating artist Mrs. Snigdha Johri read a book and remaining artists tried to visualize it and made an abstract doodle out of it. We named it as “Text to visuals” One of the interesting brain games which trains artists to visualize better. We also had an open canvas at the entrance for all the three days where visitors tried their hands using paints and sketch pens and doodled their heart out. The result was a colour filled abstract art at the end.
Day 3, ie. 18th Dec, 2022 we celebrated the 5th foundation day of THE ART HUB. Senior artist, Mr. Rahul Inamdar interacted with our participating artists and discussed about his art journey and his process of creating art. Artists found his way as an unconventional method which inspired many. The day also witnessed may first time gallery visitors and they thoroughly enjoyed. Seeing how art can influence many, we were overwhelmed. A total of 12+ paintings were sold in all three days. Apart from sales, bonding, contact building and learning each other’s processes happened enthusiastically. The realization that many people are still not in touch with art and there’s a lot to do in this field touched us. We continue to research and develop initiatives to bring art closer to the audience and will be back soon with our 6th edition, bigger, better and more engaging. Join us in our journey as we try to make an attempt to spread #KalaaHarJagah

For artists that are looking for a good platform to display their work, this was a lovely initiative. We need a lot more like this that encourage arts and creativity in everyone. DATE : 28 Jan, 2018
VENUE : Rajiv Gandhi Udhyan, Chembur, Mumbai.
SPLASH 2018 was our first Annual Art exhibition. We had also organised an Inter-school drawing competition for the schools of Chembur wherein 14+ schools participated. It was an one day long event with drawing competition in the morning followed by an interesting Caricature workshop conducted by Mr. Denzil Clement. He is a well-known artist known for his quick caricatures.
The drawing competition was conducted for children from pre-primary, primary and secondary section. We had a full day long exhibition of acrylic paintings of 10-12 yrs kid. These paintings were a result of a painting workshop Conducted by our Founder . From religious works to nature related works, it was an amalgamation of varied topics painted by young hands. The exhibition was appreciated by the visitors and were awestruck to know that they were done by little kids.
We had in mind to have something out of the box. So planned to organise a caricature workshop. Denzil sir taught the kids basic anatomy of a face required for making a caricature and then he demonstrated an easy way of drawing Amitabh Bachhan sir. Not only kids, but few parents also participated in this workshop and were contented by the results.
Results of the competition were declared one week later and prizes were distributed to the students through respective school administration.
” This event was an eye – opener for me, as I realized that there’s a lot to be done in the Art field and lot of artists are yet to be brought in the limelight. “
– Mittul Agarwal (Founder)
It was an amazing experience meeting all these young kids try their best to learn about art. It was just a 2 hour experience but a beautiful memory for life. I personally believe that artists learnt more from interacting with fellow artist friends then from books. It’s a nice place for young budding artist to learn and showcase their artwork. Looking forward to do another workshop with The Art Hub
– Denzil Clement (Caricature artist )
