SPLASH EXHIBITION
We have often seen that people love to create art but fail to continue their art because of lack of opportunities to display it. We decided to create a platform for people who wishes to start a career in fine arts. At Splash, we empower young artists by allowing them to exhibit their artworks and learn the bits of the market. The 3 day long exhibition provides a platform to indulge in artistic conversation with the creative minds. Splash has proven to boost confidence of 180+ artists in their initial days by bringing them together and exhibiting their works at national level.
AAKAAR MAGAZINE
The dire need to bind the art ecosystem together led us to kick start this initiative. The magazine speaks volumes about the art ecosystem in India with a vision to promote and spread awareness about the art, artists and the market. The articles and interviews are based on various viewpoints
of Artists, Critics, Researchers, Gallerists and other stakeholders to shape the ecosystem and develop into a sustainable model.
Founder's Note
The visual arts scenario in India is quite disturbing. India is known for its rich culture and tradition in art but still artists over here struggles to achieve fame in the market. They are always bombarded with questions like “ painting to thike , but karte kya ho? ” , “art main career kaise banaoge?”, “paise kama lete ho?” and many more which leaves the person numb and kills the artist within. With talent and desire to achieve something there’s something more which will aid on the expected result and that is an organised system. I have seen artist working for less paid orders and selling their work for an undesired price. I have seen artist striving for the right opportunities but end up in a spiral of business driven organisations. There’s plethora of platforms today which assure to add value to every artist’s life and lift the condition of art in India but somehow gets stuck into the process. THE ART HUB was started with a motive to promote art amongst students and later during the course of its growth realized that there’s something which is lacking. We started national exhibitions and understood that hundreds and thousands of exhibition are held every month nationwide still we see artist looking for better opportunities. We are still in the growth process and researching on the loopholes in the system. With an idea to create a healthy environment in this field, we look towards enriching the scenario and would work for it with utmost dedication. But I believe it cannot be done by a single person and so we need support of every budding artist.
